Tazio - I respect your usually intelligent posts, but this post is just "politically correct" nonsense. There was nothing demeaning in cheryl's posts - unless you consider the misspelling of "Europeon" to be a slam. In any event, the discussion has nothing to do with race - which was my point to Robert.

By the way, I suppose you think you know my national origin, and assume it is not European. Bad assumption. I do not regard myself as a peon. Nor do I regard the many Europeans whom I work with, most with post graduate degrees and distinguished careers, as peons. Many of them came to the US to escape an increasingly onerous tax burden, as Cheryl suggests.

The US has always been a melting pot for various immigrant nationalities - it is part of what made this country great. US school children, my own included, are taught about the great influx of Europeans who were the cornerstone of the nation's growth at various points in its history.

I'll get off of my soap box here, but I think we ought to look at the intent and context of Cheryl's post rather than pick on what I took to be a typo and label it as "racist", which is both incorrect and incindiary.
