There are approx. 600-1000 (some internet sites have higher numbers- not sure I trust those- but EVEN those say only a few thousand- still only ~1.00 to 1.5% of abortions in this country) PBA's a year in this huge country- most of them are because gross abnormalities are seen on ultrasound that were not picked up by conventional testing earlier in the pregnancy. It may be your opinion that those women should be forced to have severely deformed children- it is not mine. The decision is between a woman and her doctor- it isn't as if doctors are going to be lining up to kill healthy near term fetuses willy nilly- the PBA's represent ~.08% of abortions.

I read a very interesting article about waiting requirement law in a Southern state that actually raised the fetal abortion age. I'll find it and post it to you. Seems stupid to tweek something that is working well. You, who are shocked by abortion, are not compelled to have them. Women who see them as necessary means to control their reproduction are free to have them.
