Following is a suggestion I sent to the director of SI. Anyone care to let him know of your support of the suggestion? -Z Mike, As a long time member, I have noticed a drop in the usage of Silicon Investor and increasingly find myself forced to use Yahoo boards which contain some quality posters and an incredible amount of garbage. (Even within SI, the signal to noise ratio can drop very low as you well know). My suggestion is to allow current SI members to recommend very high quality non members for free membership. The nomination should include directing you to a number of sample posts of the nominee on other boards. I believe such a change could bring a number of very high quality posts to SI making it far more attractive to the general membership. It might even have the effect of further lowering the quality of your competition to the point they become useless. A second possibility is to include industry insiders on a trial membership if they can so substantiate with permancy if they establish a record of intelligent posts. -Z
