GPS does not work indoors. That is the big advantage of Snaptrack, it keeps working even when the subscriber is indoors or locked in the trunk of a kidnapper, burglar, rapist or murderer. A landline can always be traced using caller ID (even if the landline has caller ID blocked I believe 911 could still access caller ID). Previously, 911 dispatchers had to rely upon cellular subscribers knowing their location and having the presence of mind to convey it accurately to dispatchers.

Snaptrack will be just one more of many reasons why carriers will switch to CDMA2000 technologies. No other technology provider can offer so many leading technologies for one low price.
