If it was a free market, it boggles the mind to think they're so stupid they haven't gotten together A COUPLE YEARS AGO to do DeBeers-like marketing campaigns (still time for Xmas guys). Would have made for some good commercials during the awards ceremonies at the last Olympics for example. They could show the confused expression on the face of the first place athlete as they draped a Beanie Baby around their neck, before awarding the inferiorly valued Silver and Bronze. caption: "Gold - There Is No Substitute" tm (during this administration's gold smear campaign many beanie babies were worth more per ounce than gold) If it were a free market, it would be easy to spend a few bucks on TV quickly educating the public. regards, Tom
