PT: you got it right...if Bush was so nervous about reporting his DUI conviction and having his lovely daughters find him out, then why so open about the alcohol abuse...answer: no one gets arrested for alcohol abuse and while alcoholics are considered to have some sort of an excuseable disease, DUI and the damage they may cause can never be excused...in most worlds, we would simply call this a COVER UP...using his daughters as a smoke screen is about as lame an excuse as the man himself.
