That agenda will put the US in a more precarious situation.

There was an interesting article on atmospheric carbon (read, CO2) reduction goals in the most recent Physics Today. Say the word, and I can email it to you. It's about a Mb in size though, as a .pdf. It actually does not discuss utility contributions to CO2, by design.

I work at the (DOE) National Renewable Energy Lab in CO. We're collectively wondering how our funding may change depending upon the election winner. I suspect most of us on the research side will vote for Gore; I will. From what I know about Nader, I find him even less likable personality-wise than Gore. As for Bush, I disagree that a tax cut now will lead to higher standards of living four years from now. And I would definitely appreciate more emphasis on environmental issues in general, which Gore would bring with him.
