Ray, I wish I was paid for the FuzzyMath.com site, but no -- it's just me feeling a civic duty to do whatever I can. I owned the domain name before Bush used the words.

Are you saying you consider the details on the site ridiculous? Or, are you just very cynical about government (believe me, I understand if that's the case).

The oil in the ANWR is on the coast, near where we're already drilling.

I guess the best thing would be to ask Gore's people what % of the ANWR they believe will have oil wells. I got my data from a web site in Alaska. The people there are quite angry about the possibility that Clinton will close off the possibility of drilling on 3 square miles out of 31000. It's their livelihood.

I guess, rereading your message, you must be voting for Gore. My opinion is that Gore, with his business bashing and increased spending, brings the entire stock market down and makes the surplus disappear -- because the surplus is based on a projection of spending levels that are far more restrained than what our current Congress is passing (according to the Economist magazine). Elect Gore and the surplus disappears (if he has a Democratic House to propel the initiatives he's spoken of during his campaign). And in 2004 the election becomes a referendum on "Who's fault is it that the surplus disappeared?"

Oh well -- I didn't mean for the Calpine thread to become a political discussion.

Sorry!
