Which battleground states must Bush or Gore win?

Bush has really got Al Gore on the defensive.

Thus far from what I've seen, Gore has only been threatening him in Florida, whereas Bush has been forcing Gore to spend money AND TIME in California, Tennessee, and Illinois. All of these states were supposed to be in Gore's camp.

Combine this with the obvious sense of desperation we're seeing in Gore's rhetoric over the past couple of days (like claiming Bush stated SS wasn't a Federal program, when he DIDN'T say any such in that context), and minus some major revelation far more grievous than a DUI, Bush probably has it.

I was walking by the White House just a couple of hours ago and happened across a uniformed secret service officer out by his station. I just looked at him and said "Looks like you'll only have 4 more days before you get a new boss"

He just looked at me with a knowing smile, saying nothing (as any good non-political officer should do.. :0)

Most of these poor guys absolutely hate this administration. Hillary had the SS protective detail playing butler and steward when she first came in. Absolute contempt for the incredibly tough job they do.

Regards,

Ron
