Rande, great post. I have to tell you a story about my wife and her IRA. She bought WAG in 1990, based on the fact we know the family and they thought it was a good buy at that time, (I was way too smart to buy any) and has split 4 times since, and I have been telling my wife for 2 years it has peaked, sell it and move on, and since she is stubborn, she ignored my advice, much to our benefit. >I was wrong about it having peaked<
She has also collected a dividend over that time. And her trading costs amounted to 1- $25 trade. She never even looks at her monthly statement!!! We should all be so detached in our thinking....
And sometimes, if you pick the right horse, it pays to just continue to ride.
