Who is VoiceFive?
VoiceFive is an Internet customer knowledge company whose goal is to understand and help others understand Internet trends and patterns. Just as television uses the rating services to determine which are the most watched programs and to affect the shows and commercials we watch, the Internet community relies on our members to understand the likes and dislikes of Internet users. As a knowledge provider, our goal is to understand your browsing and buying habits.
VoiceFive is a service of comScore Networks and assists comScore Networks in providing information on Internet trends and activity.
What information is collected by VoiceFive?
During the registration process, we request information, such as name, address, e-mail address, and education, about you and other persons who live with you or have the same mailing address as you (collectively, this is your "Household"). After you register, our network then collects information about your Household's Internet behavior and that of other computers used by members of your Household that have been configured to use the internet accelerator. This information is then combined with other VoiceFive member data to create an aggregate view of Internet e-commerce. VoiceFive monitors your surfing, essentially logging information about the web pages that you visit and the actions that you take, such as the purchases and transactions you make.
VoiceFive may monitor all the Internet behavior of your Household's registered computers. VoiceFive monitors both the normal web browsing you perform, and also the activity you may have through secure sessions, such as when filling a shopping basket or checking out from online shopping. VoiceFive's technology allows us to see the details of secure pages while protecting such content from parties other than the site to which you are connected. We monitor these connections so we can accurately model not only the browsing habits of Internet users collectively, but also their shopping, registration, and other interactions as well. Although we monitor your Internet behavior as part of this service, VoiceFive does not keep instant messages or the contents of e-mail messages.
VoiceFive Network
After you have completed the registration process and allowed the associated configuration to occur, your computers will be configured to route your Household's Internet communication through and automatically use the VoiceFive Network. You agree to allow the required configuration of the browsers. You agree to accept upgrades of such configuration that we may provide from time to time. You agree not to attempt to defeat or circumvent the browser configuration or routing of the Internet communication through the VoiceFive Network.
Currently the VoiceFive Network includes a server or group of servers through which Internet communications are routed. VoiceFive reserves the right to change the composition, operation and function of the VoiceFive Network at any time and without notice or liability to you or any third party.
VoiceFive does not warrant that the functions contained in the VoiceFive Network or any materials or content contained therein will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that the VoiceFive Network is free of viruses or other harmful components.
VoiceFive shall not be responsible for any service interruptions, including, but not limited to, power outages, system failures or other interruptions that may affect your use of the Internet and/or the VoiceFive Network. |
