Yup, because they're nihilists, or humanists, with nothing else to cling to in order to separate right from wrong.
There is no right from wrong in their mind, just situational ethics. And to them, the "the end justifies the means". Because, they've had it drummed into their heads by Dan Rather sound-bites, that Republicans are the incarnation of the devil against the planet or something. Remember, we want to "starve children", "starve the elderly" "throw mentally disturbed people out on the streets", "pollute the rivers, air" and destroy the mother earth (God) planet.
Politics is their religion, and like any severely dogmatic religion, you see people going off the deep end of reason to defend its ways. |
