Right. Put the Ohio family men, Boy Scout leaders and war veterans out of a job so the factory can be moved to China or El Salvador. Then you can hire 12-year-old kids to do the work. Work 'em 15 hours a day, too. And if they complain, work 'em 16 hours a day.

I've been reading with interest various articles in the WSJ over the past two or three years focusing on the myriad problems companies experience when they do just what I've described.

You get what you pay for, Mr. Quality-Comes-First Cummings. If you pay someone in China a buck-fifty and hour, you'll get work that equates to a buck-fifty an hour.
