I agree w/ you completely, that was so nicely put, too. Bland, you are less than bland! Marvelous is definitely in the lead. :-) I do not think its always noise pollution, I think of it as selective perception that adheres to cultural values which in the west particularly are linear and material. I think of our capacities like the Eskimos' ability to perceive so many different kinds of snow so they have about 40 words for snow, and each word is about a different "thing" whereas we see only snow. We're entrained to filter out as noise what is actually signal...
