Analysts...they do or can serve a purpose for the investor. It's just that now they have to do it the old fashion way...earn it. Even though the investor gets the same information at the same time as the analysts, it doesn't mean all investors can put all the information together. Let alone the time to. So I think we'll see a new approach to how the analysts do their jobs, AND....we'll see just which analysts can cut it. The last few weeks we have seen the analysts talk things up or down to the point the companies have come out in public to dismiss them pointedly. That may have been the analyst's last hurrah using the old methods...let's hope so.
