Yeah, "they" use "timing analysis programs". But my bet is that this is a Gigabyte issue. The question is did Gigabyte use timing analysis programs. What they are doing now is characterizing prototypes. They see that they need a change, they implement it. This is not the first minor glitch AMD has had over the past year, ask any of the Intel guys for the complete list.
