Now that Walmart.com came out again facing more criticism; it is increasingly evident that online stores are nothing but catalog stores which you can easily check out without too much fuss. Most successful online line computer stores show whole page of related products you can select and check out; although most force you to click, flip and wait and get your shipping charges recalculated.

Web site designers tend to make the site necessary to navigate; when buyers want to just check out their choices. I am glad AMES took its time and wait for the dust to settle before they start a web site to complement their stores. Online could be more successful if it has products that the store does not have. Although AMES never reported on their AMESMED.com. They may have to make some changes especially, in direct email solicitations. Turned out that web sites are nothing but valuable spaces for banner advertizing. And you have to have bells and whistles to entertain and hold customers(CRM)? Does that sound like an old economy business?
