Here is a link in Exxon's annual report that mentions this technological breakthrough:

This thing is for real. Exxon doesn't casually throw things into their annual report without a very good reason. Obviously they wanted the shareholders to know that this technology existed and it looked commercially feasible. IMO, it's just a matter of time before they can scale up enough to have a material impact on crude oil supply (3-5 years?).

Now, back to the drilling stocks... <g>
