The only bright spot to this is that it's an opt-in service. If I don't sign up, they won't collect information about me. In some respects I don't have a problem with a service that will target information based on my needs/wants/desires. I'd much prefer this type of system to be in MY control and not as a hosted service who can basically "read" my life. So the difference will one day be that this type of service will be available to people (or households) via a small device (like a TiVO) that can be configured via a web-browser and is installed at home (like a router/gateway). Otherwise, this service could be hosted as long as the right infrastructure is in place to ensure security of my data. Regards, Peter J Strifas
