I do basic research at NREL here in CO: nrel.gov

My work is not at all directly related to the PV industry. I use time-resolved laser spectroscopy to study processes such as energy relaxation dynamics in systems and materials which hold potential as new types of solar cells. In particular, I'm a physicist working in the Chemical Sciences section. Topics of current and recent research include semiconductor quantum dots (nanocrystals) and dye-sensitized nanocrystalline titanium dioxide electrodes.

And I do own shares of Astropower. The PPS will take care of itself if they can continue to gain market share (I have not seen any new numbers on this for about a year).
