"Do you really think Carpoint is a money loser?"

Yes of course.

"Forrester research says that only 4 players will survive in the online automotive industry(a $1 trillion global industry): ---Carpoint, GM, Ford and AutoNation."

No. The Automotive industry may be a $1 trillion global industry, but the online automotive industry is not. Did Forrester Research really state that it is? If so, it's dead wrong. The Online Automotive industry is not profitable. Most people who shop for cars online still buy them at dealerships.

They are correct that CarPoint can survive. Like WebTV, MSN, Pocket PC, and all of those other monetary sinkholes, CarPoint will survive as long as Microsoft chooses to pump money into it to keep it alive. This does not mean that CarPoint is profitable.
