Prolife: No need to use boldface. I am well aware of what I said. But if you wish to trumpet my concepts again, I have no problem with that. Yes, we can significantly reduce the amount of money we spend on the military, perhaps by as much as 50 percent over the next 10 years. I believe the Russians recently unilaterally cut their military budget by 30 to 40 percent. Isn't that correct. The Cold War is over. (Pssst. We won.) We need more U.N.-NATO-SEATO policing of global "hot spots" and less U.S. policing. Why would anyone argue with that? One doesn't have to be a "kook" to embrace this. What's wrong with making the Europeans and Japanese assume a larger role?
