Let's see. Market makers match buy and sell orders as well as trade for their own account. They attempt to insure an orderly market. Their brokerage arm assist investors in finding value amongst a wide array of different investment opportunities. The only smoking gun appears to belong to a few retail shorts who have shot themselves in the schwance and now want an easy out of their predicament. It isn't happening.
