This is really an undiscovered gem. Of course we discovered it accidently with a patent search when it was selling for about $10.00....
How about a cardiac study that takes more than 10 hours to "ship" on a T1, takes 3 seconds on a distributed storage topology over IP. [SAN over IP.] Thats STORAGE ACROSS OPTICAL NETWORKS AT NEAR REAL TIME. another e.g. MOVIES, zap and its there, ...... A movie delivery over T1 takes more than 2 months. Get the picture.
To explain the technology is too vast an undertaking that would take about a semester, but it has to do with breaking the latency barrier that George Gilder pounds on. Thats the slowness at hubs, switches and routers that affect connection speeds inside the server or computer. How they are supposed to do this is of course a military secret judging from the security around the place, but analysts and institutional types are invited to visit and kick the tires.

This is the reason the stock has been so strong in this awful market and I am not taking anything away from the patent potential that is in itself astronomic. And of course any settlement on any of these patent pursuits would gap the stock up 10 or 20 points, keeping in mind the small market cap of SOS at around $200 Million.
