Al never said he invented the internet. He said he "took the initiaive to help create it" in congress which is aboslutely true. The "invented" word was a carefully planned GOP smear campaign to somehow put this in peoples minds without it being true. Why did they do this? To keep the public from acknowledging Gore's actual HUGE role in creating the internet as we know it. Yet the GOP still continue to repeat "invented" like a mantra. Lie upon lie upon lie until it sounds true.
