JG - The point I was trying to get over was that the existing markets can provide both earnings and example for the future without having to worry about China.

I happen think China is wonderful, a totally different World. I love going to China and seeing the progress in front of your eyes. BUT from what I've heard doing business in China is very very difficult unless you are buying and even then!

China is not like Russia with no prior independent business or commercial experience. China's experience in commerce and other spheres is much longer than the Wests! I don't think Q should give up.. far from it but I do think the emphasis of all press and discussion and analyses should be on what the Q has today. Japan, Canada, US and Korea are quite big enough in themselves to bring about a sea change in perception regarding mobile telephony by taking every opportunity to extoll the virtue of 1X.

I think that IJ should have taken the CC on a tour of Korean and IX . He should even now be telling the World that Korea is the MOST advanced wireless country in the World. What can W-CDMA proponents or GSM/GPRS do about it?

Best regards,

L
