ToySoldier - that was a line from your first message...

Products such DirXLM and I-Chain will be aimed at ASPs and ISPs.

As to what state Novell are in, I know little more than you, but I have some understanding of the internal issues which they are having, as I'm involved in development work at another company with many of the same issues caused by 'internet time'.

Novell does have programs aimed at allowing things such as eDirectory to be used via subscription for ASPs/ISPs, but at the moment most of Novell seems to be running around for their end of year, which could involve a lot of sole searching (anyone taking bets on what the numbers will be).

More info can be found at

novell.com

All my comments are based on information I have collected from the public domain, for example the pricing of DirXLM came from giving Novell customer services a call and the info about the status of the publish and subscribe sub-system from Novell's own (open) developer support forums.
