I think you are right. Bush will win. I think it is sad.

Bush is a lying cheating scum bucket. If Bush were intelligent he would have taken responsibility for doing something with his life instead of just having dad do it for him (and as you point out this may be the only salvation our country has with this Bush League president.

On the other hand, Gore is also a lying cheating scum bucket. If he were intelligent he would have kept his mouth shut first and looked inside himself to see if he could find something to believe in.

I applaud Jill for having the moxie to express herself when her opinion is so in the minority on this thread and likely silicon investor.

Those of you who attack her and others do yourself a disservice for yours is not the only voice, not the only opinion that matters, but it seems to be the only opinion you hear. I truly hope that the narrowminded twits go broke in the stock market because you refused to listen to a divergent opinion.

I am worried about our country. That we have chosen to nominate men of this ilk is scary.

I think Bush will be as bad as Harding and Reagan, the great nappers. And those of you who think Reagan a great president ought to be reminded of Chauncey Gardner - benign senility. "I like to watch."

Gore is a meddler - those who accuse him of micro-managing are right. He has no faith in our people. The good news is that there is little chance we will have a Democratic majority in Congress and a Gore presidency who hopefully be ineffectual.

And the corollary is the bad news: a Bush presidency and a Republican Congress - think that wouldn't mess up the economic progress this country has made? Doubt it.

And finally, I agree with Jill. I think Clinton was the best president we've had since Truman. Let us not be confused. I did not say he was an exemplary human. I did not say I would want him as a next door neighbor. I did not say I trust him in interpersonal relations. I do say that I agree with Voltaire that Clinton was a brilliant politician and I add that we will sorely miss very soon.

God bless America.

We need help.
