sh, isn't ross perot a goon? first, he DIRECTLY caused bill clinton to gain power (and gb sr to lose power). now, he supports gb jr.

i don't like some of dubya's policies (1. there is no surplus, 2. the surplus should pay down the debt if we ever get one, imho), but i get the impression he is a sincere person. perhaps his ineloquence actually makes him a better person - hard to get too proud. well, that and the fact he didn't do much for 50 years! -ng-

re: the tax cut game - the point of a tx cut isn't to get one. if everyone's wages doubled over night, so would costs and purchasing power would stay the same. the name of the game is getting a bigger break than other people. imho, leave the status quo, trim spending and pay down the debt. when the next recession hits, our first $10k in taxes will be going for interest. unacceptable.

al gore is a snively little punk. liar extraordinaire (sp??). whiner, condescending cheeseball. serial exaggerator.

it's a shame both can't lose.

btw, i thin dubya has a similiar approach to ss that i do. he won't say it. not yet. he said that "the retired and those close to retirement will get their benefits!" why do you suppose he qualified his response? why didn't he say "everyone?"
