LOL...i'm personally very wary of politicians who wax religiously. imo politics and religion should not be mixed at all. it's one thing for a politician to proclaim his beliefs, it's quite another to suggest that government should now become more faith oriented (which is what 'forging closer ties with spiritual groups' amounts to). throughout history the mixture of politics and religion has wrought nothing but grief...
