Calling Hitler right-wing and Stalin left-wing may be correct in a manner of speaking but don't those appellations tend to obscure the point that these men were savage despots? Could not agree more. I was simply correcting another poster's careless and glaring misstatement of history. The misstatement that Hitler was an ultra liberal smacked of implying that the liberal wing of the democratic party is in even a remote way cut of the same cloth, which should offend us all. To use either man in making a political point in the context of republican vs democrat should be out of bounds. Again you are totally correct. That has not stopped some self-gratifying far right wing posters from spewing some disgusting anti-Dem venom, the best thing to do is not respond in kind and sink to the same level.
