I would agree with you Mike, but I really wonder if he is qualified in the right way. Yes, he has a good command of the facts. Yes, he has worked in the Federal government all his life. And he certainly knows the power structure in Washington. However, I have no faith in his ability to unite the two parties to get the things done that need to get done. And with issues like the environment, I simply don't trust him not to cave in to special interests when the envelopes start getting passed his way at the tea parties. And the final nail - his didactic lectures and personal demeanor make me nauseous. If you saw the Saturday Night Live show last night, they did a great job of capturing what the poor American public would have to listen to for the next four years. Bush ain't perfect, but on a comparative basis, he looks pretty good.
