I will rely on Zogby. He has been the most reliable pollster over the last 8 years or so. He is also a conservative, so I don't think he's spinning his polling to help Gore. IMO, Bush will need a 3 point or higher lead in the last Zogby-Reuters poll to beat Gore in the Electoral College.

Also regarding the spin on the who's the most confident going down the wire. Karl Rove and the Bush forces are clearly overplaying their hand because they want Democrats to be demoralized going into the vote. That way, turnout is suppressed in California (which helps the struggling GOP House candidates; with all due respect to Cisco, Bush has a snowball's chance in hell of carrying California) and fencesitters are more likely to vote for Nader. Contrary to the Bush spin, the race is getting tighter, not widening, and Gore is dead even if not a little bit ahead in the electoral college.

Doughboy.
