w molloy,

And, by and large - who has been right?

Obviously, we know what has happened in the year 2000 to the stock (and many, many others). But we also know that Lurgio, Dalglish, and Corpgold have been right over the last few years -- especially when the stock went to over $80.

Regardless, I don't get caught up in the short-term stock price, and agree with you about discussing relevant issues (such as how profits may be decreased by new hires).

My take on the expanding work force is that there is obvious growth being seen by the company, and since they have "been turning away" specialized engineering work (according to MG) because of lack of engineering supply, it is a smart investment.

What about these new hires would make one think the company is foolishly spending its money? The larger profits the company seeks will undoubtedly require the larger work force, will it not?
