iom helping ibm with its microdrive use iom software. this board had posts which said iom couldn't compete with microdrive, which was much smaller. others said microdrive was too expensive. others said it would come down in price. is iom selling rope to the hangman? but, couldn't ibm create or buy or license software to do the job if it didn't get it from iom?
