I gives you an idea of what kind of sleaze ball Flynt is. If such happened, certainly it would not enhance my view of Mr. Bush nor would it appreciably depreciate it if I considered the times and circumstances. What I find loutish about Flynt, is for the sake of questionable political gain, his willingness to drag those total strangers threw the mud and perhaps irreparably damage their lives. It may also explain why someone chose to relegate him to a wheel chair.

We have all pretty much agreed times were different in the public's view of DUIs and abortion 30 years ago. Today DUIs are not tolerated and abortion is. People do change and reasonable people are impacted by their life's experiences as they mature. It's why I was not particularly incensed by Gore's early pot smoking. I know I did things I would never consider doing now and perhaps my current attitude is a result of my having done them. People are not static, they mature and evolve. It may also explain why for generations societies have had great respect for their elders.

Flynt is subhuman. The messenger is much worse than the message.
