I don't think it's too hard to support another bull run if Dubya get elected. Remember that little visit his father made to SA back when oil was waking from its slumber? Pretty sure the valve turns both ways. Of course, there's this little problem of debt, slowdown in consumer spending, some credit problems, etc... But nothing the FED can't fix with another high spirited round of clownbux - which they'll be able to do with abandon once Dubya makes some hay in the ME and the Saudi's applaud our choice of presidents.

I think the force grows weak with the bears in a few months unless some real turmoil develops.

As I mentioned before, this whole line of thinking depends on the Saudi's having as much spare capacity as they claim to have. If they don't we go down no matter what the fed does.
