Thinking out loud...

Hmmm, a nice jump in CNQR today, with it flatlining at 3 1/2 and my cost down in the $2's, maybe I will just take a little profit, cut and run. See later what this rumor turns out to be, could be nothing.

I am thinking I might want to wait and see how T splits everything up--maybe just buy the broadband later. That makes it harder to own ATHM right now too, although I'm actually a little in the money so I should just mark down a mental stop and let ATHM sit. Nah, dump it.

PCS has been a stinker, I snagged the recent Value Line summary, I don't know... Didn't PCS shareholders get slighted when WorldCom came calling--if NTT came after Sprint, maybe I ought to own FON instead of PCS, or maybe wait awhile longer. Take the loss on the $31 shares, wait--not that PCS isn't a good buy down here, but probably dead money for awhile longer and I can be greedy and hope for even cheaper shares.

I don't see it on my list, but I had snagged LU down around $21, I guess I will take some chump change from that one and sell it today. It had a nice little run to $25 1/2, then petered out. Maybe I'll just daytrade this one.

JCP, I hate to do this when the stock is so low, but having reviewed the seasonal catalogs, buyers remorse on this one now too. Lots of crappy newsflow for retail, dumping it, no harm no foul since I averaged in around $10--whoopee, a get a buck, ha. I'll try and visit Gottshawks, or whatever it is called that are sprouting up around here replacing Lamonts, and visit JCPenny a few times into the holidays, and rethink the odds for JCP surviving.

That leaves me with a handful of biotechs including the MCDE I bought back today, plus only a small chunk of T and PCS, crappy little placemarkers for now.

Bottomfishing has not been particularly profitable, but at least I've not hurt myself. That is the first rule right, do no harm.
