Roger,

I don't think the claim was made that 38 IBM Fellows joined MD. It was more like "38 of IBM's most talented scientists, engineers and managers" left to join MD. In other words, everyone in the company was a superstar at IBM. :)

Stewart also said (regarding Brady) that only 44 individuals were ever named IBM fellows. I'm highly skeptical of that claim--I'd guess that there are more like 44 IBM fellows at present. Stewart also credits the "NTSC Standard" to Chiang. What's interesting about this is that NTSC stands for National Television Standards Committee.

I suspect that Dave Stewart did quite well for himself and some of his followers who read between the lines--he probably sold high. My guess is that Emerald is holding the bag now. I'm looking forward to Emerald's next "conference call"--the share price always responds nicely thereafter.

Do you think that the present bearish tone of this thread is a contrary indicator?

Regards,
Lyle
