All, Intel will roll out Slot 2 in early 98. Three things worth mentioning in this article - 1. Slot 2 improve the P/2 L2 cache speed problem. Currently L2 cache runs at half speed of the CPU and this has derived some critics of speed slowdown. 2. Intel tight her control in server market, it will be harder for competitiors to catch up. 3. Slot 2(with 450 chipset) will support 2 to more processors. techweb.com -Henry
