Bill,

I am not current on GLE (Toronto). I got out about the time they broke ground on a new plant to build stackable SOFC's. I do believe they have sold some SOFC's to an Indian (in India) utility. As I understand the technology, and I'm a little fuzzy here, it is more efficient than the other methods, but I'll bow to someone with superior knowledge on this.

One of the byproducts of the process is a lot of heat which may or may not be a good thing depending on the situation and whether you can utilize the byproduct. Their attempt for a cooler operating system may be an attempt to go for the residential market. They also have a realtionship with Delphi automotive which I think is connected to Delpi's attempt to come up with a batteryless car. GLE also has an ongoing contract with the US Defese Dept. to supply SO heaters for ARMY tracked vehicles.

GLE aficanados have their own thread here and GLE has its own website.

I would consider diverting some of the BLDP investment in this direction if you get the answers you want after your own DD. I think GLE gave out a bunch of warrants to finance the plant so that angle needs to be checked. I also have some doubts about PLUG's ability to rachet it up on a grand scale. IT made some sense for the homeowner to bear the upfront cost inasmuch he would reduce his bill, but this was BEFORE natural gas prices shot up. Now I don't think there is any cost advantage (except maybe if you live in San Diego California or anywhere else where you 've got deregualtion blues).

So anyway here's to good investing and I hope FCEL happens for you as quickly as you think.

Bill
