You demonstrate the age-old problem with liberalism. You all believe that problems can be fixed with a program, and that a President can claim the credit for a sound economy as soon as he comes into office, and continue to lay that claim for the next eight years.

NOTHING, NOTHING, happens that quickly when significant change is made. Nader's work for this year is the foundation upon which he (and others) will build a true base of liberalism for the future. That will take years to bring about. He may fail to establish the Green party as viable in the long term, but he will force the Dems to move to the left (which in his mind is probably an honorable second place to having his own party).

In his mind the Dems have betrayed the left. He will either bring the party back to the left, or gut it of it's further left support.

See the handwriting on the wall for what it is, rather than insisting on arguing with me. This is an argument worthy of serious consideration.
