From a research perspective, most of what they sell is available elsewhere. Of course, what they really want to do is supply raw materials for development compounds, and they're likely to have an edge there. HOWEVER, a particularly novel amino acid will have a MUCH better chance of ending up in a new drug if it is widely available at the research end. No one is ever going to make a ton of something that isn't made in the milligrams first. They need to market better to the research end of things.

Generally, natural amino acids are dirt cheap. Every major supply house sells them, and a ton of derivatives, too. I can't even count how many different commercial derivatives of phenyl alanine are available.

BTW, I think it's an excellent website. Very easy to use and well thought out. They should advertise it more.
