Thanks for that Intel capital gains analysis.

Because of recent market decline, the amassed unrealized gains shrunk at a faster rate than Intel anticipated. Now, the existing amount of unrealized gains may last only till Q2'01 at the current rate of consumption.

There is a strong possibility that a spring-time bull market might extend the life of their golden goose. I'm expecting that the tech stocks will turn up strongly at the beginning of the year. I imagine that the managers of Intel's Capital Group are expecting that as well.

The market isn't supposed to do well in the first year of a new president's term, but this year hasn't exactly followed the standard script for presidential election years.
