I was in Tumbler Ridge when the nut that killed the Bentleys (the Clearwater murders 1983 or thereabout) and burned the bodies in their car was caught (by a fluke) more or less in our back yard. Naturally, this was the talk of the town. Some will remember the RCMP mishandling the investigation for over a year, including buying a pickup, camper and boat and taking a trip across the country with it. One turd at the mine the next day stood up in the lunch room and screamed "The Mounties always get their man"

After the laughter died down and the room became quiet, a small voice came out of the background and said "the mounties couldn't track a herd of menstruating elephants thru 4 feet of snow"
