There are other companies with encoding/authoring solutions ... the encoding system maker might not be the same company that makes the authoring system. But there are certainly turn-key systems out there which handle DVD authoring (see previous post, Daikin/Scenarist and maybe Minerva). On the software side, you have to worry about companies moving over from CD-R and multimedia authoring and using boards from CUBE/Sony/etc.
