The Lenin statue, I know I saw that somewhere but I cannot place it.

The Tropicana was okay; much less expensive and less crowded than the MGM. It's an old hotel though, and does not have the vibrancy of some of the other places. My real interest next time is to stay mid-Strip. I'm attracted to the Venetian. Of course, the last time I stayed it was all the way down the Strip as well and I said then that I would not do it again.

Walking around Mandalay Bay I suppose it would be a nice place to stay if I were bringing family. Once out at the pool, you have a view of something besides buildings. The pool looks nice, it has a "flowing river" type pool running around the area. If it has a "flowing river" bar to go wit' dat I'm in.

Still not overly excited about staying in a building that might sink, however.

I do not eat much. I might have at Lone Star but this past Thursday John and I ran over to NY, NY for a Pastrami.

Friday I had two croissants at the Trop and a slice of pizza at NY, NY.

Saturday we finally hit the Buffet, the one at the MGM. Did not care for it. No lunch, then dinner at the Derby. That was okay. Nothing I would return for, but it was acceptable.

I drank way more than I ate. Particularly at the cigar bar in NY, NY. I hurt my son a little. When we got to the cigar bar he complained as we sat down that the measured pours in many of the hotels did not give him enough vodka. So I suggested a Grey Goose on the rocks.

Hey, I told him up front it was going to be hallucinogenic city.....

....and it was. He was through drinking for the night after that little meteor crash-landed.
