Stand back and take a look at the bullish argument you make for IDC. It is full of "IDC has predicted" and "IDC has clearly stated". Take those away and there is precious little left upon which to base an investment. That is one of my issues with the company. They have a long history of predicting and stating things that have never come to pass. Remember B-CDMA and that's just one example.

Investors should not look so much at what a company claims as they should what other companies are actually doing. None of IDC claims guarantee a profitable future.

How many major manufacturers have signed up with IDC for 3G and how much will IDC collect? The largest example, Nokia, is shrouded in mystery since IDC felt the need to combine reported royalties with development fees. I still haven't received a reasonable explanation why IDC combines these two different revenue sources. Frankly, I'm surprised the SEC considers this accurate disclosure but apparently they have bigger fish to fry.

IDC's claim to TDMA and GSM certainly hasn't paid off. Imagine, the "inventors" of the core technology of the worlds most successful cellular standards and their stock price has, what, doubled or tripled in 28 years? This leads me to question IDC's claims. Where's the money? I'm not investing in IDC unless I see solid evidence of progress. Who cares if I have to pay twice as much, I might get it for half price.

Sorry if I sound pessimistic but our differences are what define a well rounded perspective.
