No Mo Mo: When I spoke of luxury items to flats, I was speaking in example. A Ford Focus while taxable at the same rate would not be considered a luxury car as say a RollsRoyce. If you pay for instance 10 percent in Federal Consumption tax for non essential items...ten percent of fifteen thousand for a Ford Focus is a lot less than say ten percent of 250 thousand for a RollRoyce.

As far as going down a list item by item as to what should or should not be taxed on SI...you make up a list of every single item or service for sale in the US, list it as taxable or not and I'll let you know what I think once you have a complete list...<g>
