I've owned Walgreen since it was $5 (split adjusted), I've never added to my position because I've always thought it was over valued. If I had bought more at just about anytime in the past 6 years I would be better off. I don't think now (as I have thought for all of the past 6 years) is the time to buy. I have been wrong for all of those years. Walgreen is the only stock I own that I have no intention of selling (with the possible exception of Pixar). I will still be holding it 6 years from now. It has consistently beat expectations and has a great plan for future growth. Here is a nice article from TMF which should answer some of a potential investor's questions better than I can. fool.com
